Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your safari begins with a warm welcome from your Kalayani Safaris guide in Arusha before departing for Tarangire National Park. The drive introduces you to the landscapes of Northern Tanzania, passing local villages, open countryside, and beautiful views along the way.
Upon arrival, begin your first game drive in one of Tanzania’s most rewarding wildlife destinations. Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and the Tarangire River, which attracts animals throughout the year.
During the game drive, you may see elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, impalas, warthogs, and many bird species. With luck, predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs may also be spotted.
A picnic lunch will be enjoyed during the day, followed by more wildlife viewing in the afternoon. Later, continue to your selected lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.
Elephants • Baobabs • River landscapes

Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, continue your journey toward Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s most legendary safari destinations. The drive is scenic and memorable, taking you through changing landscapes and, depending on the route, the beautiful Ngorongoro highlands before descending toward the Serengeti plains.
As you enter the Serengeti, the landscape opens into wide golden grasslands, acacia-dotted plains, and endless horizons. This is one of the world’s most famous wildlife areas, home to lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, buffalo, hyenas, and many bird species.
The Serengeti is also known for the Great Wildebeest Migration, although excellent wildlife viewing is possible throughout the year. Enjoy an en-route game drive as you make your way deeper into the park.
In the evening, arrive at your lodge or tented camp, enjoy dinner, and relax under the peaceful Serengeti sky.
Big cats • Endless plains • Wildlife action

Day 3: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Wake up in the Serengeti and enjoy the fresh morning atmosphere of the African wilderness. After breakfast, begin with a morning game drive, one of the best times to see wildlife activity and enjoy beautiful photography light.
Your guide will search for animals across the plains, including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, hyenas, and possibly leopards or cheetahs. Every drive in Serengeti feels different, and the morning hours often bring some of the most memorable safari moments.
After exploring more of the Serengeti, continue toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey from Serengeti to Ngorongoro is scenic, passing through open plains, volcanic landscapes, and highland views.
Along the way, your guide will share insights about the connection between wildlife, landscapes, and local communities in this part of Tanzania. Arrive near the crater area in the late afternoon or evening for dinner and overnight.
Crater views • Dense wildlife • Dramatic scenery

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for one of the most memorable experiences of your Tanzania safari. The crater floor is a spectacular natural amphitheater filled with grasslands, forests, lakes, and wildlife.
Ngorongoro is one of the best places in Tanzania to see a wide variety of wildlife within a relatively small area. During your game drive, you may encounter elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, warthogs, gazelles, and many bird species.
The crater is also known for strong lion sightings and, with luck, the rare black rhino. Your guide will help you explore the crater carefully while explaining the area’s unique ecosystem and conservation importance.
After a picnic lunch and more wildlife viewing, ascend from the crater and begin the drive back to Arusha. This brings your Kalayani Classic Circuit to a beautiful close.
