Kalayani Safaris was born from a family story rooted in service, warmth, and genuine care. Long before our journeys crossed the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Kilimanjaro, and Zanzibar, our values were shaped by people who believed that hospitality is not only what you offer - it is how you make people feel.

Every great journey begins with a story.
Ours began long before Kalayani Safaris was ever imagined. It began with our grandfather, affectionately known as “Kalayani” - a name that would one day become the heart of our brand.
From the 1950s through the 1980s, he served as the Head Chef at Mount Meru Hospital in Arusha. But his legacy was never only about food. It was about care, dignity, warmth, and the quiet ability to make people feel welcomed and valued.
To him, hospitality was not a duty. It was a calling.
The way he served others became part of our family’s identity. His kindness, discipline, humility, and respect for people became values that were passed down through generations - and today, they live on through Kalayani Safaris.
